Gene was born and raised in Neenah, WI and has enjoyed horses all of his
life. He started riding at the age of 5 and has enjoyed showing Quarter horses,
Saddlebreds and ponies. During high school he worked at Don Brockman Stables. Gene
graduated from University of Wisconsin-Au Claire with a major in Marketing. He has worked
in industrial distribution for 25 years.
| In 1972, Gene married his high school
sweet-heart, Ann. They have enjoyed years filled with their son, Jason's, athletics.
Jason loves hockey, soccer and track. During the years of 1973-1993, he and Ann trained Saddlebred and ponies at Old Orchard Farm specializing in youth and
amateur riders. Gene loves to play golf, hunt, boat, fish and ski in his spare time. Gene
and Ann own Dun-Haven's Awesome Image, PT Cruiser and Supreme Inheritance. Gene was named
reserve World's Champion with Awesome Image in '99 and was the 2000 Amateur Road Pony Reserve
Grand Champion at Lexington. |
